At Autarky Beauty, we prioritize hygiene and product safety. Because our products are hair extensions, which are considered intimate/hygienic products, we operate under strict return and exchange guidelines.
Please read this policy carefully before making a purchase.
1. All Sales Are Final
Due to the hygienic nature of braided hair extensions, we do not accept returns or exchanges once a product has been shipped.
This ensures all customers receive brand-new, unused products.
2. Exceptions — Eligible for Exchange/Replacement Only
We may offer an exchange or replacement ONLY in the following situations:
- Wrong item received
If you received a different color, length, or product from what was ordered.
- Defective or damaged item
If your product arrives damaged due to shipping or a rare manufacturing defect.
- Missing items
If an order arrives incomplete.
Important:
To qualify for an exchange or replacement, you must contact us within 48 hours of delivery with:
Your order number
Clear photos or videos showing the issue
Unused, unopened product in its original packaging
Requests submitted after 48 hours will not be eligible.
3. Items Not Eligible for Exchange
We cannot accept exchanges or replacements if:
The product has been opened
The original packaging has been tampered with
The hair has been installed or handled
The issue reported is based on “change of mind,” color preference, or customer mistake during checkout
4. Return Shipping Costs
If the error is on our end (wrong item, defective product), we cover return shipping.
If the error is on the customer’s end (wrong address, unclaimed package), the customer covers shipping.
5. Final Sale Items
Discounted items, promotional bundles, and clearance products are considered final sale and are not eligible for return or exchange.

Refund Policy
Because hair extensions are hygienic products, Autarky Beauty does not offer refunds on any products once shipped.
However, refunds may be approved in rare, specific cases:
1. Refund Eligibility (Limited Cases Only)
Refunds may be granted if:
✔ Your order was canceled before shipping
If you request a cancellation before the order is fulfilled.
✔ Your item is out of stock
If a product becomes unavailable after payment.
✔ You were charged in error
Duplicate transactions or incorrect billing charges.
✔ We cannot fulfill your order due to a system or product issue
2. Non-Refundable Situations
Refunds will not be issued for:
Opened or used hair extensions
Installed hair
Wrong item ordered by the customer
Dissatisfaction with color variation (screen displays differ)
Delayed shipping caused by carriers
Change of mind after product is shipped
3. Processing Time for Refunds
If approved, refunds are processed:
Within 3–7 business days
Back to the original method of payment
Actual posting times depend on your bank or payment provider.

In the case of lost packages with insurance the insurance company will give directions on refunds.
In the case of lost packages without insurance, the customer will pay for it (use AI to edit). The insurance is usually less than $2, it is advised that you get it.
